SOLARMA S.n.c. di Gianpaolo Macario & C. is an Italian general partnership based in Cuneo, active since 2012 in the generation and sale of photovoltaic electricity.
A company built around a plant, not around a subsidy
SOLARMA was incorporated in March 2012 with a clear purpose: to build and directly operate a photovoltaic plant, taking on the full industrial risk of running it. The Peveragno plant started generating on 28 June of the same year and has been the company’s main activity ever since.
Around that plant we have built practical expertise covering design, grid connection, dealings with the distribution operator and the national energy services agency, planned maintenance and long-term financial assessment. That is the same expertise we make available to those facing the same decisions today.
The organisation is deliberately lean: two managing partners, clearly assigned responsibilities and no layer between the people who decide and the people accountable for the work.

Four principles, applied even when they cost us
Numbers before promises
Every assessment starts from expected yield and real operating costs, not from nameplate figures.
Long horizon
A photovoltaic plant is judged over twenty-five years. We design and maintain with that timescale in mind.
Respect for the site
A plant has to fit the land it stands on, both visually and in terms of agricultural use.
Contractual clarity
Scope, responsibilities and limits are set out in writing before work begins.
What the articles of association provide for
The company’s articles provide for the following activities, carried out both on its own account and on behalf of third parties:
- construction, installation, maintenance and operation of plants and equipment for the production of energy from renewable sources, using any technology available on the market;
- in particular, plants producing electricity and heat from solar energy through photovoltaic installations;
- trading in electricity and heat produced from renewable sources, whether from company-owned plants, plants under its management or third-party plants;
- purchase, sale, assignment or acquisition of rights, obligations and contracts relating to renewable energy production, and of instruments or certificates representing electricity;
- architectural and structural design — preliminary, detailed and executive — works supervision and testing in civil and industrial construction, plant engineering, agriculture and environmental protection.
All activities are carried out within the limits of, and in compliance with, the rules governing them. Activities reserved to regulated professions are expressly excluded.
